8 Of The Most Amazing Destinations To Visit On A Budget In 2016

by Royal Holiday July 6, 2016
    written by Royal Holiday

There are many factors to consider when looking for budget destinations and getaways. Simply going by hotel prices and airplane fares is not enough; you have to keep in mind the cost of living, the exchange rate, the commerce and other activities that may come out of your pocket when it comes time to pay.

Here at Royal Holiday Travel, we love giving you the best tips to make the most out of your next getaway. Today we bring you a list of some of the best destinations you can visit this year on a budget. Make sure to check our destinations to save even more with all of our deals.

    Iceland

Iceland is an amazing country filled with beautiful sights of mountains, volcanoes, glaciers, rivers, lakes, caves and other wild terrain waiting to be discovered by those with a soul for adventure. On the other hand, those interested in culture will have many places to choose from when visiting this magical land. The abundance of fresh water, clean nature and fertile grounds make Iceland a paradise for those looking for a distinct culinary experience. This may, Icelandair introduced service from Seattle, Minneapolis, Orlando, and Newark, and year-round flights from Chicago; making it a lot easier for Americans to visit the country with new more affordable airfares.

    Vietnam

Vietnam’s popularity has risen considerably in the last few years. The place is beautiful beyond words and still one of the world’s cheapest destinations. On a few dollars a day, you can find great local food, transportation and even have a few drinks. Hanoi’s Old Quarter, around Hoan Kiem Lake, is the best place to see some of the city’s post-colonial charm; it’s also a rare oasis of calm in this otherwise chaotic city, where locals go every morning at sunrise to practice tai chi. Vietnamese rural life is a sight to behold. See for yourself the lush, green rice terraces and the beautiful sunsets over the vast lands.

    Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a rich and beautiful still emerging destination that is becoming more and more popular every year. The country is the preferred destination for those seeking peace with a healthy dose of surfing and bird watching. It comes as no surprise that Costa Rica is one of the most sought after locations for Americans looking to retire abroad. In Costa Rica you’ll find nesting turtles at Tortuguero, rafting on the Río Pacuare and diving in the reefs of Manzanillo. A great place to stretch your budget and get to live a true adventure.

    Turkey

Turkey, and specially the Thrace Region, which starts from Istanbul and stretches northwest between the Black and Aegean Seas; is becoming very popular as a destination that heavily contrasts the traditional eastern face of Turkey that most travelers know. Great vineyards and a mythological tradition of wine marks this destination as the birthplace of the beverage, something that for sure draws many visitors every year that want to discover the magic of Turkish wines. Turkey continues to be a mesmerizing mix of the exotic and the familiar

    Hungary

Hungary is a country of contrasts with unmatched beauty and a cultural wealth that would take lifetimes to completely explore. Most travelers that land here, end up prolonging their stays for months after they fall in love with the way of life and how affordable it is to live in Hungary. World War II is a huge part of the country’s history, and visitors to the Budapest’s museums and memorials will find they can engross themselves in the country’s heritage for a fraction of the cost of other European cities.

    Morocco

In recent years, Morocco has become the preferred hideaway and home-away-from-home for many when they need a break from traveling, as the cost of living there is just so low compared to Western wages. Morocco is home to gorgeous natural landscapes, including beaches, waterfalls, mountains and desert. The country has a coastline that stretches from the Mediterranean to the Western Sahara; Morocco is blessed with numerous beaches, so whether you’re a sunbather, surf bum or nature buff, there is a place for you.

    Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is a not so far getaway for Americans with the clear advantages of using the same currency and finding very cheap flights. The island is also the cruise capital of the Caribbean; its ports welcome thousands of sea travelers daily and are a popular port for our very own cruise lines.

    Malaysia

For those who love trying new food but are on a budget, George Town, Malaysia is the place to go. The cuisine is a blend of Malay, Chinese, and Indian specialties with local dishes sold in food stalls as well as in luxurious restaurants along the strip. Visitors are fascinated by the white-sand beaches of west coast islands such as Pulau Langkawi and Pulau Redang, as well as the lush rainforests of Borneo to the east. With so many varied and alluring attractions, Malaysia has something for everyone.
