Discovering everything the East Coast has to offer can be a challenging task. Cape Code is a great starting point for exploring so much natural beauty. Here are 6 musts when you are in this amazingly beautiful cape.

    1. The National Seashore
40 miles of the best beaches in the US, where besides basking in the sun, you can enjoy a Broadway play in the summer; do some mountain biking and savor seafood dishes New England style.

    2. Pristine beaches. Find the ideal one for you.
The vast white sand beaches of Cape Cod offer a diversity of choices, including, salt water and fresh water beaches, calm water and big waves, and a range of sizes from small secluded to huge beaches with plenty of room to play volleyball. Our recommendations:
    Race Point Beach, Provincetown
    Coast Guard Beach, Eastham
    Hardings Beach, Chatham
    Nauset Beach, Orleans
    Old Silver Beach, Falmouth

    3. Glorious gastronomy!

Cape Cod is a peninsula divided into 15 towns, each with its own unique gastronomy history. Fried clams, fresh broiled or grilled fish, lobster rolls and fish and chips are still favorites. We recommend that you check out the Chatham Pier Fish Market in Chatham.  and Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar in Eastham. You can also find great pizza and meet sandwiches like roast beef, very popular in the East Coast. Homemade ice cream is the way to go for desert. Suggestions: The Ice Cream Smuggler, in Dennis and the Cape Cod Creamery, with two locations: one in Hyannis and South Yarmouth.

    4. Nauset Light Beach en Eastham

Built in 1877, it was one of Chatham’s lighthouses and was reinstalled in Eastham in1923. The lighthouses were originally manufactures in wood and used to warn ships about the dangers on the coasts. Since 1987 this lighthouse has been part of the National Registry of historic monuments.

    5. Provincetown

Provincetown Harbor was the initial anchoring place of the Pilgrims traveling on the Mayflower in 1620, before they proceeded to Plymouth. MacMillan pier is a great port from which fleets of ships offer white and humpback whale watching adventures. If after this unforgettable experience you have worked up an appetite, the easiest way to decide where to eat it so stroll up and down Commercial Street. Expect to find taste temptations along this street like fish and chips, pizza, burgers, crepes, clam chowder and all sorts of seafood appetizers.

    6. Cape Cod Rail Trail
This 25-mile paved path is a safe and enjoyable way to spend a Cape Cod summer day. Traveling through the towns of Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet, the smoothly paved surface (akin to gravel asphalt) makes the CCRT ideal for cyclists, walkers, inline skaters and runners. Bicycle and rollerblade rentals are also available at various bike shops conveniently located right along the trail in Dennis, Brewster, Orleans and Wellfleet.

    Beach-Bike
