The park’s construction began in 2013. Budgeted to cost $500 million, the opening is slated for this summer. The famous filmmaker James Cameron, who created Avatar and his team were in charge of developing the park’s many attractions including floating mountains and exciting air and land expeditions.
Pandora promises new experiences, including the stellar Na’vi River Journey, a family attraction that consists of a boat trip through a mysterious sacred river in fluorescent jungles.
The park will also feature theme restaurants such as the Satu’li Canteen, a special gift shop with Avatar collectibles, and the Flight of Passage which takes visitors on a flight over Pandora’s jungles.
In addition, visitors will admire breathtaking animatronics and fluorescent landscapes. The opening of “Pandora—the World of AVATAR” is scheduled for the summer of 2017.
